Oh, hi. I didn't see you there. At all.

So it's been a while. And I am a lame-o.

Since my last post, school ruled my life. THIS WAS MY LAST YEAR OF SCHOOL--ohmygodI'vegraduated. Yes. So, after a physics final, a chem final, math tests, a huge law final project, dry grad, prom, school events, scholarship night, awards night, an English retest, college administration/application/complicationssssss--all crammed between work--I got sick. Like, really sick. It started right after all my responsibilities to school had ended...on June 28th or so and I'm still sick. It's better now, though--a lot better--but I still cough quite a bit after waking up and before bed and still get dizzy on occasion.

Anyway, point is, last week I celebrated my birthday. This kind of brought me back to life (I admit, I tumblr a lot, because SO MANY PRETTY PICTURES) And now I'm back on the internet. Not deviantArt yet, though. I'm feeling...meh about art right now. Like, I have no creativity whatsoever. Just curiousity. And that is what this is for. :)

I've been baking experimentally, lately:

Whisk Kid
Diamonds for Dessert
In your back pocket...(not really a baking site)
Oreo Cake (Because oreos are heaven)
Christine's Recipes (DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU'RE ON A DIET. Everything looks so good but so many egg yolks in the cakes....)

(Also, remember that thing about reverse harems/ male harems I mentioned a few posts back? Reverse Harem Garden to deal with all your bishie needs!)

I need to get back to crafting. Seriously. There are so many good projects out in the world that I have yet to try...

Craft Passion
Japanese Clay Modelling Tutorials, anyone?
Zakka Inspired (because I'm so Asian.)
I've been wondering how to embroider. But not just embroider, I've seen these napkins on the interwebs with comic book pictures on them. Like, line up all the napkins, and you've got some pretty unique book club entertainment (I've never been to a book club, I don't know what I'm talking about. All I know is that they are AWESOME and words cannot desccribe my awe.) Well, I've discovered it! It's called Sashiko. Sake Puppets explains and demonstrates!

And nooks. Recently I've been daydreaming a lot. It's gotten ridiculous. I'll tell myself, "Wake up. Then brush your teeth, then comb your hair." and I'll reach for my comb and forget what I use it for...because I've spaced out that badly. In my daydreams--of being a mystical ninja-warrior-princess that will save all, a peasant who's far more intelligent than the nobles who surround her, of an the perfect school day at the perfect school and returning to the perfect room--I've been building a house. An imaginary house filled with secret zombie escape routes and music rooms, hidden doors and secret passages, and my own personal space. My house isn't large. It's not small, but it's not large. So...I've imagined building several houses. Some gigantic, like Victorian-themed mansions, some tiny, like Asian apartments, and some normal western houses. I've become obsessed with tiny spaces. I don't know why, since I'm not particularly fond of small spaces, and I'm kind of large. Not buff or muscular, not tall, I'm chubby. So, small spaces means clumsiness and I hate that. But I am obsessed with tiny Asian apartments. And decorating them. And nooks came to be my way of expressing that. (That and dorm rooms. FuckYeahDormRooms on tumblr anyone?) I don't know why they're called nooks. I must have read it off of a blog and it kind of stuck. (probably In Your Back Pocket.) Basically, in my mind, they're just small living spaces.

(even imaginary ones will do...)
